Open Question: Is Fluoxetine an anxiolytic?

I have a close friend, he is mild depression and anxiety, Dr. provisions of fluoxetine. He did a very good result. He stands about 3 months visa medical examinations to take his wife to participate in the United States away. In the medical examination sheet (of course there will be blood and urine examination) it specifically refers to drug or anti-anxiety drug abuse. Now, he wants to stop his meds because of fear of the test shows. Any idea? ? ? Thanks
